• Development of the Master Plan which has a 10 to 15-year planning horizon and guides the development of the Showgrounds site as the Fraser Coast Region continues to evolve.
• The Master Plan will assist Council in better understanding how to make increased use of the facilities, improve the standard of facilities and improve site viability.

• Balancing conflicts between the needs of the Showgrounds for community events and activities with a major equestrian centre offering.
• Early involvement of key user groups and venue management is critical to understanding challenges and testing solutions.

• Expanded event opportunities.
• Reduced burden on volunteers and not-for-profit organisations.
• Enhanced reputation for high standard equestrian events.
