At this week’s Parks and Leisure Australia 2025 National Conference, Otium Director Jason Leslie was proud to join Dr Phil Hamdorf, CEO of ASAPD, to launch the new National Guidelines for Accessibility in Australian Sports Venues.

Developed in collaboration with ASAPD, these guidelines highlight universal design principles and provide practical direction on:

✅ Locational accessibility for community sporting infrastructure
✅ Management and access arrangements
✅ Inclusive facility design.

We prepared these guidelines free of charge because we believe in sport for all. Our goal is to empower sporting organisations, planners, architects, builders, operators, government agencies, and educational institutions to create spaces that deliver better sporting outcomes for people with disabilities.

Together, we’re shaping a more inclusive future for sport in Australia.
